French Terry
Composition: Can vary. Most commonly 86% Polyester, 10% Rayon, 4% Spandex or 90% Polyester, 7% Rayon, 3% Spandex
Weight: 210gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: Smooth on one side and loops on the other, this fabric is generally quite soft with horizontal stretch only. The print is typically on the smooth side of the fabric, but can be on the loopy side. We have solid colours and prints available in this fabric.
Garment suggestions: This fabric is fantastic for jumpers and joggers - it is the ultimate loungewear! Of course, it can be used for other items as well. Be sure that the pattern you are sewing doesn’t require vertical stretch as French Terry often doesn’t have any.
Brushed French Terry
Composition: 48% Polyester, 44% Cotton, 8% Rayon
Weight: 280gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: Soft with a brushed, semi-fleecy feel on the inside, this fabric has good stretch despite its lack of spandex. It does not have good stretch recovery so care should be taken not to make a garment that is too heavy. You can reinforce horizontal seams with clear elastic to help counter this. Brushed French Terry can be prone to pilling, particularly after the first wash when the fluff from the wrong side can get stuck to the right side of the fabric. This can be easily removed with a lint machine. This fabric base is available in solid colours only.
Garment suggestions: This fabric is beautifully warm and cosy for winter and is great for jumpers and joggers.
Liverpool
Composition: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
Weight: 180gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: This fabric has a slight thickness to it and crepey texture to the right side of the fabric. It has some structure and drape, so it can be used for a variety of garments. Liverpool generally only has horizontal stretch and has good recovery. This fabric is available in a variety of prints and some solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Liverpool makes a fantastic dress, pants, skirts, jacket or top.
Brushed 100% Cotton
Composition: 100% Cotton
Weight: 110gsm
Width: 140cm
Description: This woven fabric is very lightly brushed on the right side, making it a great fabric for many different garments. Being cotton, it has a little bit of structure to it so that a garment that might fall in a Rayon Challis will sit out a little in this Brushed 100% Cotton. This fabric is available in prints only.
Garment suggestions: Brushed 100% Cotton can be made into many garments that are suitable for woven fabrics. It is particularly good for pyjamas, skirts, shorts and could also be used for dresses and tops.
Scuba
Composition: 96% Polyester, 4% Spandex
Weight: 220gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: Scuba is a lovely, heavier fabric with a bit of body. It feels a little bit like wetsuit material, but is not as thick. Scuba has good horizontal stretch and is a very forgiving base.
Garment suggestions: Scuba is fantastic for garments that have a bit of structure. Think pencil skirts, blazers, and pants. It also makes great dresses and tops.
Ponte
Composition: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
Weight: 220gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: Ponte is a great winter base with a bit of body. This base has good horizontal stretch and a lovely drape thanks to its heavier weight. We have Ponte available in a selection of prints and solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Ponte is great for garments that need some structure. We love ponte for dresses, skirts, pants, jackets, and more.
Soft Ponte
Composition: 60% Rayon, 35% Nylon, 5% Spandex
Weight: 220gsm
Width: 135cm
Description: Soft Ponte is, as the name suggests, extremely soft! This base is warm and comfortable, and sews up really nicely. It has good horizontal and vertical stretch, but does not have as much drape as some of our other fabrics. Be aware that our rolls of Soft Ponte are not as wide as the rest of our range, so check your pattern requirements carefully. This base is available in solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Soft Ponte is great for making garments such as dresses, skirts, pants, and jackets.
Velvet
Composition: 90% Polyester, 10% Spandex
Weight: 330gsm

Description: Our Velvet is a lovely, thick stretch fabric. This fabric has a texture that sits in a particular direction, so if you are going for a consistent look make sure that all your pattern pieces are oriented the same way. Velvet is available in a selection of luxurious solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Velvet is perfect for adding some glam to your garments. We suggest jackets, dresses, skirts, cardigans, and pants.
Corduroy
Composition: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
Weight: 230gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: This Corduroy is not like the corduroy of old. This is a lovely, soft, stretch corduroy with a bit of body to it. The ribbing in our Corduroy runs horizontally, but the fabric has great stretch so you can turn the fabric around if that suits your garment better. Corduroy is available in a selection of solid colours.
Garment suggestions: We love Corduroy for jumpers, jackets, pants, dresses, and tops.
Brushed Irregular Rib
Composition: 97% Polyester, 3% Spandex
Weight: 220gsm

Description: Brushed Irregular Rib is a soft, snuggly, sweater knit-style fabric with an irregular rib design. The ribs are brushed, adding to the thickness and comfort of the fabric itself. It has fantastic horizontal stretch and drapes beautifully. Brushed Irregular Rib is available in a selection of solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Brushed Irregular Rib is great for winter staples such as jumpers and cardigans, as well as dresses and tops.
Micro Suede
Composition: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
Weight: 150gsm

Description: Micro Suede is a lightweight faux suede fabric base with good horizontal stretch. The suede texture makes this base beautiful and soft to touch. Micro Suede is available in a select range of solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Micro Suede could be used to make jackets, cardigans, skirts, and much more!
Brushed Rib Knit
Composition: 86% Polyester, 9% Rayon, 5% Spandex
Weight: 190gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: Don't let the light weight of this fabric fool you - Brushed Rib Knit is beautiful and soft. The rib pattern is part way between a waffle knit and a rib knit, but the ribs are brushed on both sides which gives the fabric some extra warmth. Brushed Rib Knit is available in select prints.
Garment suggestions: Brushed Rib Knit is great for cuddly, layering pieces such as jumpers, cardigans, dresses, and tops.
Faux Feather Hachi
Composition: 99% Polyester, 1% Spandex
Weight: 290gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: Faux Feather Hachi is an incredibly soft fabric that is perfect for winter. The titular "feathers" add an interesting texture and are great for outerwear pieces. This fabric has some weight to it and good horizontal and vertical stretch.
Garment suggestions: Faux Feather Hachi is perfect for winter outerwear, including jumpers, cardigans, dresses, and tops.
French Terry Burnout
Composition: 90% Polyester, 7% Rayon, 3% Spandex
Weight: 200gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: French Terry Burnout is exactly the same as the standard French Terry, except that the print has been "burned out" and is a little bit see-through. Just like our regular French Terry, it has firm horizontal stretch and drapes beautifully.
Garment suggestions: French Terry Burnout can be used for many garments, including jumpers, cardigans, dresses, joggers, and tops.
Waffle Knit
Composition: 70% Polyester, 28% Rayon, 2% Spandex
Weight: 200gsm

Description: Waffle is recognisable by its texture. This is another lightweight, cosy winter fabric. Waffle comes in a variety of solid colours and some prints.
Garment suggestions: This fabric makes great jumpers, cardigans and dresses for the cool weather.
Brushed Waffle
Composition: 70% Polyester, 28% Rayon, 2% Spandex
Weight: 200gsm

Description: This lightweight, cosy winter fabric is simply our Waffle fabric but brushed. The brushing adds some fluffiness and warmth. Brushed Waffle comes in a variety of solid colours and some prints.
Garment suggestions: This fabric makes great jumpers, cardigans, long-sleeved tops, and dresses for the cool weather.
Oversized Waffle
Composition: 64% Polyester, 34% Rayon, 2% Spandex
Weight: 180gsm
Width: 140cm
Description: Oversized Waffle has a larger, looser weave compared to our standard Waffle. The looser knit means that it is not as warm as our other Waffle varieties. Oversized Waffle has good horizontal stretch and is available in a range of solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Oversized Waffle makes lovely jumpers and cardigans.
Cable Knit Sweater
Composition: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
Weight: 270gsm

Description: Cable Knit is a gorgeous sweater knit featuring a sweet cable knit design. It is a very soft, delicate fabric has great horizontal stretch. We recommend washing this fabric in a delicates bag and being careful to keep anything that it might get caught on away from it as it does pull easily. We think that it is worth the effort though, as this is such a lovely fabric. Cable Knit is available in a range of solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Cable Knit is fantastic for making your winter warmers such as jumpers and cardigans, but also makes really cute dresses!
Brushed Ribbed Sweater Knit
Composition: 96% Polyester, 4% Spandex

Description: Brushed Ribbed Sweater Knit is a lovely, cuddly sweater knit with a brushed ribbed design. It has great horizontal stretch and is beautifully soft to the touch. Brushed Ribbed Sweater Knit is available in a selection of solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Brushed Ribbed Sweater Knit is, as the name suggests, great for jumpers and cardigans. It is also great for winter dresses.
Faux Cashmere
Composition: 68% Polyester, 29.5% Rayon, 2.5% Spandex
Weight: 200gsm

Description: Faux Cashmere is one of the softest, cuddliest fabric bases we have in our range. It is soft and fuzzy on the right side, although you could choose to put this against your skin for additional warmth. This fuzzy side may pill, but this is easily removed with a lint remover. Faux Cashmere has great horizontal stretch and some vertical stretch. This base is available in a range of solid colours and a selection of prints.
Garment suggestions: Faux Cashmere is lovely for winter pieces such as jumpers, cardigans, and long-sleeved tops.
Hachi Sweater Knit
Composition: 96% Polyester, 4% Spandex
Weight: 180gsm

Description: Hachi Sweater Knit is our quintessential sweater knit fabric base. This base is quite lightweight, but is great for layering. Hachi Sweater Knit has fantastic horizontal stretch and is available in a range of prints.
Garment suggestions: Hachi Sweater Knit is great in jumpers, cardigans, long-sleeved tops, and dresses.
Brushed Hachi Sweater Knit
Composition: 96% Polyester, 4% Spandex
Weight: 180gsm

Description: Brushed Hachi Sweater Knit is very similar to Hachi Sweater Knit, but with added brushing for some extra warmth. This brushing also makes this base extremely soft. Brushed Hachi Sweater Knit has great horizontal and vertical stretch and is available in a range of prints.
Garment suggestions: We love Brushed Hachi Sweater Knit for garments such as jumpers, cardigans, long-sleeved tops, and dresses.
Softhand Sweater Knit
Composition: 96% Polyester, 4% Spandex

Description: Softhand Sweater Knit is one of our favourites for winter garments. This fabric is, as the name suggests, incredibly soft and cosy. Softhand has fantastic horizontal and great vertical stretch, and comes in a range of beautiful solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Softhand Sweater Knit is perfect for jumpers, cardigans, long-sleeved tops, and dresses.
Super Soft Hachi Sweater Knit
Composition: 96% Polyester, 4% Spandex
Weight: 180gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: As the name suggests, this fabric is super soft to touch. Although lightweight, it is cosy to wear in the cooler weather. It does have some recovery on stretch, but care should be taken on the weight of the garment in case of stretching out. This fabric is available in prints only.
Garment suggestions: This fabric makes a beautiful jumper or cardigan. Dresses are also a nice option for winter in this fabric.
Faux Alpaca
Composition: 69% Polyester, 24% Rayon, 3% Spandex
Weight: 200gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: Faux Alpaca is lightweight, cosy, and soft to touch. It is soft and fuzzy on the right side, although you could choose to put this against your skin for additional warmth. Faux Alpaca has great stretch and is available in a range of prints.
Garment suggestions: This fabric makes a beautiful jumper or cardigan. Dresses are also a nice option for winter in this fabric.
Faux Wool
Composition: 100% Polyester
Weight: 320gsm
Width: 150cm
Description: Faux Wool is one of our heaviest knits. Smooth on one side with a wool-like texture on the other, this fabric is available in a range of solid colours.
Garment suggestions: Due to its weight, this fabric is great for more structured winter garments.
Sherpa
Composition: 84% Rayon, 16% Polyester
Weight: 230gsm

Description: Sherpa is a beautifully soft fabric that features a smooth texture on one side and a cuddly, fleecy texture on the other.
Garment suggestions: This fabric is great for warmer layering pieces such as jumpers and cardigans.
Thermal
Composition: 94% Polyester, 6% Spandex
Weight: 180gsm
Width: 156cm
Description: Thermal features a lovely, almost waffle-like texture and is perfect for layering! Although it is just 180gsm, it feels thick, warm, and cozy.
Garment suggestions: Thermal makes great layering pieces such as tops, jumpers, cardigans, and dresses for the cool weather.
310gsm Ponte
Composition: 60% Rayon, 35% Nylon, 5% Spandex
Weight: 310gsm

Description: This is the heaviest of our Ponte range! 310gsm Ponte is a beautiful, heavier weight and has quite a bit of structure to it. As it has good horizontal and vertical stretch, the possibilities for your winter wardrobe are endless.
Garment suggestions: 310gsm Ponte is perfect for a wide range of garments such as dresses, tops, skirts, pants, jackets, and blazers.
Faux Cashmere Rib
Composition: 55% Rayon, 25% Nylon, 20% Polyester
Weight: 230gsm

Description: Faux Cashmere Rib is a lovely, soft fabric for your winter sewing. This cozy fabric has good four-way stretch and drapes beautifully. It also features a wide rib design that will add some interest to your outerwear.

Brushed Triblend French Terry
Composition: 36% Cotton, 47% Polyester, 13% Rayon, 4% Spandex

Description: This base features two distinct sides - a marled right side and a lovely, fleecy wrong side. Please note that this fabric has no horizontal stretch! However, you can of course turn the fabric to make the most of the vertical stretch.

Cosy Sweater Knit
Composition: 98% Polyester, 2% Spandex
Weight: 280gsm

Description: This gorgeous sweater knit is, as the name suggests, incredibly cosy! Although it has quite a loose weave, it is lovely and warm. This textured base will be a fantastic addition to your winter wardrobe.

Braid Jacquard
